Luminaire Trick, design by Dean Skira for iGuzzini was awarded the Red Dot Award Product Design out of 4,928 innovative entries from 1,994 participants from 56 countries.

Architizer A+Award for Lighting Giants

Shipyard cranes Lighting Giants project won the Architizer A+Award in NYC. The project was awarded in category Architecture+Light.

Coat of Arms of the city of Pula

Dean Skira and his team, together with Uljanik Shipyard and Tourist Board representatives, have been presented with an honorary plaque with the Coat od Arm of the city of Pula on 5th May 2015.

"The judges said Trick was that rare thing: a completely new form factor that opens up new applications." Trick has been awarded Interior Luminaire of the Year at the prestigious Lux Awards 2014 in London, the latest recognition for this truly innovative product.

WIN Award 2014

Trick is awarded by WIN Award 2014 for the Best Lighting Product of the year at Saatchy Gallery in London, UK.

city.people.light award 2014

Shipyard cranes Lighting Giants received the Special mention city.people.light award 2014. The award was presented in Dubrovnik on 7th November by the LUCI Association.

LDA 2015 nomination

Trick, designed by Dean Skira for iGuzzini is nominated for the best External luminaire. Hotel Bellevue located in Mali Lošinj, Croatia is nominated for the best International project (Interiors), and Shipyard cranes Lighting Giants project is nominated for the best Special project. The award ceremony will take place on 19 March 2015 at London Hilton, Park Lane. 

Istriana Award 2014

Istriana awarded Dean Skira  and the Shipyard Cranes Lighting Giants for the most important cultural project of the year. This award is founded  in 2007 to promote the most meritorious individuals in several categories as economy, culture, sports, health and music that contributed to the region's development. 

Istria Tourist Board Award 2014

Istria Tourist Board awarded the Shipyard cranes Lighting Giants as the most innovative project of the year with the award called the Golden Goat as the simbol of the Istrian region.

Croatian National Tourist Board award 2014

Shipyard Cranes project is awarded by the Croatian Tourist Board for the most innovative project of the year.

Delta d’Or 2014

Luminaire Trick designed by lighting designer Dean Skira for iGuzzini has won the Gold Delta, the most prestigious Spanish award for industrial design. The competition has had 53 projects entered in which the jury highlighted the “three-dimensional quality of the effects and the ability to define interior spaces” of the winning project, an LED button that, with eight different lighting effects, defines and personalises the space, unifying architecture and space with product and light.

Codega Award 2013

Lighting design project Rident won the 1st prize in Venice! The Codega Award is the recognition of the excellences of designers, architects, artists and professionals in LED lighting and is assigned to the best LED lighting design solutions and projects.

Nomination for German Design Award 2014

The German Design Council committees have nominated Novamed lighting design project for the German Design Award 2014.

illumni Infinity Award 2013

Lighting project for Parco della Luna was awarded by the bronze illumni Infinity Award. Out of a total of 33 awards, 6 Golds, 6 Silver and 9 Bronze were awarded to European-based projects.

iF product design award 2013


Lun-up luminaire designed by Dean Skira for iGuzzini won the prestigeous iF product design Award 2013. For 60 years, the iF product design award has been an internationally recognized label for award-winning design and the iF brand has become a symbol for outstanding achievements in design.
 

29th IALD Special citation award 2012

As the longest-running award recognizing architectural lighting design excellence, receiving an IALD award is universally heralded as the top honor in the lighting industry. Skira received a Special citation award for the project Novamed Polyclinic.

The ARC Show Innovation Award 2012

Lighting fixture Lun-up designed won the Arc Show Innovation Award in the category of Most Innovative Product. The ARC Show London (Architectural, Retail and Commercial Lighting) brings together the entire spectrum of lighting disciplines for two days where the ARC Innovation Award  goes to the  most innovative and forward-thinking products.  In an outstanding competition, panel of judges recognized Lun-up’s excellence.

Nomination for Mies Van der Rohe award 2009

The House of Light is proposed for consideration by the jury of the European Union prize for contemporary architecture. The Prize is a joint initiative of the European Commission and the Fundation  Mies van der Rohe. The principal objectives are to recognize and commend excellence in the field of architecture and to draw attention to the important contribution of European professionals in the development of new concepts and technologies.

International Illumination Design Award 2009.  Award of Merit  - House of light

Illuminating Engineering Society of Northern America's Award of Merit was given to the House of light. The IES Illumination Award provides a unique opportunity for public recognition of professionalism, ingenuity and originality in lighting design.

International prize Dedalo Minosse for Commissioning a Building 2007-2008.

Dedalo Minosse, which is celebrating the first ten years since its foundation, is the only prize of its kind. Indeed it acknowledges the value of the design and puts the spotlight on the commissioning parties. The fact that quality architectural creations can only result from a meeting of minds between those promoting it and those designing it is often forgotten. Dean Skira received a great acknowledgement for his part of the House of light realization.

Lutron most unusual installation in Europe 2006.

Lutron Inc., the leading manufacturer of lighting control systems, recognized the specific installation of the House of light's integrated central lighting control system, with the prize Most unusual installation in Europe 2006.
